As a resolution to errors encountered during installation/reinstallation of Microsoft Security Essentials, I am releasing an application that will help resolve installation issues for Microsoft Security Essentials. As a disclaimer, this is in no way an official application that is endorsed by the creators of Microsoft Security Essentials. But through multiple testing and regression I have found it useful during for errors in particular: 0x80070643, 0x80070715 0x8004FF0B and other such errors following reinstallation of MSSE. I highly suggest that if you are running any other security software, that you remove it following the manufacturer's removal instructions and use their cleanup utility before installaing MSSE. 100% of the time that MSSE does not install is due to the presence of previous security software components.
